Crossroads Community Trunk or Treat

Happy Halloween!

Trunk or treat is a fun and safe way to celebrate Halloween with our neighbors. Kids will walk from trunk-to-trunk collecting candy and treats. Each trunk is decorated—the winning trunk gets a prize! Don’t forget your Halloween costume and a bag for treats!

This event will be held indoors.

If your child has sensory or mobility needs, please contact Lottie (lottiem@oppc.org) to learn more about accommodations.

Parents and caregivers, please register your child in advance (so we buy enough candy!). This event is FREE. CHILD REGISTRATION HERE:

Would you like to decorate your trunk for the trunk-or-treaters? Prizes are available for the coolest trunk decorations! TRUNK REGISTRATION HERE:

IMPORTANT: Day-of updates will be emailed to the email address provided on the registration page. Please double check that the email you provide is accurate.

A few trunk decoration guidelines:

  1. This is a family event, so we ask that decorations and costumes be selected with young children in mind. Nothing too gruesome or scary, please!

    1. Here’s a Pinterest board with some inspiration: https://pin.it/1sNokiz

    2. You can be as creative as you’d like! Sports fan? Use your Seahawks flags to make a football themed trunk! Do you love camping? Pop up your tent to make a nature scene!

  2. Please bring at 3 large bags of candy. If this is cost-prohibitive for you, please contact Lottie (lottiem@oppc.org) to arrange assistance! All food treats must be pre-packaged and store-bought. One candy per child at each trunk.

    1. Non-food treats like stickers, bubbles, glowsticks and small toys are highly encouraged! 1 in 13 children have food allergies. Non-food treats ensure that all children can share in the Halloween fun! Learn more at Teal Pumpkin Project.

    2. Should additional candy and treats be needed, they will be provided by event organizers.

  3. You can arrive as early as 2:00 to begin setting up your trunk! Each trunk will be allotted a 4x4 space for their decorations. You are responsible for providing your own table.

  4. We will have a brief trunk leader meeting at 3:00

  5. Trunk prizes will be awarded at 5:45!
